Welcome 2018 Makers!

We are delighted to welcome you join us for the 2018 Salt Lake City Mini Maker Faire. You should have received a welcome email or phone call regarding your acceptance. If you have not been in contact with us already, please RSVP whether will be participating at the event. You may email makersupport@slcmakerfaire.com if you have any questions or concerns.

If you have already received your Welcome email, please make sure to review steps 1-7 below.

SCHEDULE EVENT DATE/HOURS: Saturday, April 14, 2018, noon – 6 pm

LOCATION: UTAH STATE FAIRPARK, 151 North 1000 West, SLC (in the Grand Building)

LOAD-IN AND SET-UP: 

Friday, April 13, 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Saturday, April 14, 8:00 am – 10:00 am

We recommend you plan to set up as early as you can. This will give you more time to peruse other Makers’ exhibits, grab some coffee and food. Arriving early will assure that we are ready to go RIGHT AT 11:30!

***All non-participating vehicles must be moved away from the Grand Building by 10:30 am***

1. Call for Makers

Submit your application to exhibit, present, demo, host a workshop or activity at the 2018 Salt Lake City Mini Maker Faire.

If you have received an email or phone call letting you know that you’ve been accepted to the Faire, then please complete the rest of these steps.

2. Maker Manual

Read the 2018 SLCMMF Maker Manual and Welcome

3. Maker Agreement

Complete the Participation Agreement. Acceptance of the Maker Participation Agreement will confirm that you have read the Manual, agree to the terms, and that we can count on your participation.

4. Safety Plan

If your exhibit or project can be considered hazardous or presents a safety concern, please request and submit a Safety Plan document. You must declare all hazardous materials that you are bringing so that we can determine the best storage and overall safety concerns of such materials. Permits and permission for fire MUST be arranged in advance.

5. Maker Profiles

If you didn’t already add individual maker bios, organization info, and/or other participant information as part of your Maker Application, please complete the Maker Profile forms. Please forward this link to folks who are on your maker team and will be participating with you so that they can complete their info as well.

6. Share the Faire

Tell everyone you’ll be part of the 2018 Salt Lake City Mini Maker Faire! Digital badges and logos are available at http://slcmakerfaire.com/promote. Invite your friends to the Facebook event page at https://www.facebook.com/events/136113407011685/

7. Maker Schedule

The primary contact for your exhibit will be emailed additional details and confirmation of your schedule by the week prior to the event. Please call or email if you have any questions before then.

►Event Fees

If you are exhibiting as a commercial maker, vendor/business, established nonprofit, or sponsor, then your invoice will be sent in a separate email. We appreciate your financial support.

►Maker Friends and Outreach

If you know of any other wonderful makers whom you think we should include, please share the Call for Makers with them. Or, if there’s a particular genre of making that interests you, let us know and we’ll work on bringing that to the Faire.
