The Salt Lake City Maker Faire is tomorrow! If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, get on it! http://slcmakerfaire.com/tickets

For those of you that have already purchased tickets (smart you!), check in at the main Faire ticketing booth on 200 East next to Library Square and exchange your ticket for a wristband. Then you can come and go as you please throughout the day.

Tickets will be $9-15 at the door.

Five more days until amazing! It’s nice to have met many of you before the event. We are having a few more informational gatherings if you’d like to learn more.

Tuesday at 7:00pm at Library Square by the waterfall

This is for general information and to answer any specific questions from makers and volunteers. It’s also a chance to meet each other. If you’ve attended an information session before, have received answers to all of your questions, and don’t want to see our happy faces, then you don’t need to attend. Otherwise, we’ll see you there.

Thursday at 6:00pm at Library Square by the waterfall

This will be for general information for makers and volunteers and maybe an opportunity for volunteers to meet their team leader and get specifics about volunteer duties. Again, if you’d like to learn about volunteering, please show up. You’ll be joining an impressive group of volunteers. Janice, our volunteer manager, will be available to help volunteers sign up for a shift.

Learn to Solder at the Faire

Step 1 of all projects involving soldering is to get comfortable with soldering!

Come learn the basics at the Salt Lake City Mini Maker Faire. We’ll have Make robot blinky light pins available for learning…they’re a fun and simple way to add soldering to your list of skills. And you have a cool pin to show off.

The Learn to Solder booth will be available throughout the day, but come make your pin early so you can wear it around!

We’ve had quite a few people express their delight that a Maker Faire was coming to Salt Lake City. We’d like to note that the Salt Lake City Mini Maker Faire is being made in Salt Lake City, with the participation of many local and regional Makers and community supporters who are enthusiastic about sharing projects, ideas, skills and resources. As Faire Makers, we’re just gathering them in one place for a fun day.

If you are a maker, this Faire is for you.

If you need a little nudge to start your next project, this Faire is for you.

If you want to spend a day learning how to make new things, this Faire is for you.

If you just want to just see some really cool stuff and meet the person that created it, this Faire is for you.

We have a creative and industrious community in Utah. Add in the fact that we live in an inspiring location, and wow, this is a nice place to be a maker.
